Whisper interpreting is a form of interpretation, which is forwarded to the recipient almost at the same time. However, there is a difference in comparison with the simultaneous interpreting in that this type of interpreting is designed for 1-2 people only. An advantage is that one does not need any technical aids. The spoken word of the interpreter is simply whispered in the direction of the recipient. Whisper interpreting is technically referred to as Chuchotage (from French chuchoter, – whisper).
